Ei-Complex

Het ei-complex en kunstuitleen Beeldend Gesproken nodigen u uit voor de opening van de groepstentoonstelling BASTIAAN BENDERS | RONALD DE HOOGH | NORBERT DE JONG, op vrijdag 25 juni 2010, 17.00-19.00 uur, in het ei-complex, H.J.E. Wenckebachweg 115, Amsterdam. De tentoonstelling wordt geopend door Sander Egas, directeur bedrijfsvoering Mentrum Wijkgerichte Zorg. Met een optreden van zanggroep Eigenwijs.

Bastiaan Benders (Enschede, 1967) schildert alles wat hem fascineert, zonder bij uitstek te registreren. Hij laat zich inspireren door het alledaagse leven. Benders vergroot en houdt de beschouwer een venster voor. Hij toont (menselijke) emoties, schoonheid en kwetsbaarheid. Bastiaan Benders heeft gestudeerd aan de AKI, Acedemie voor Kunst en Vormgeving te Enschede.

Ronald de Hoogh (Amsterdam, 1959) heeft een groot gevoel voor kleur en compositie. Zijn werk -meestal op papier- is soms fijnzinnig, dan weer monumentaal. Hij werk zowel abstract als figuratief, waarbij hij zich vaak laat leiden door de vormen die al schilderend ontstaan. Ronald de Hoogh heeft gestudeerd aan Ateliers Buri te Amsterdam.

Norbert de Jong (Heerlen, 1965) schildert vanuit zijn onderbewustzijn. In zijn expressieve schilderijen figureren allerlei wezens die met elkaar communiceren. Soms lijken ze te dansen of te vechten, soms is het onduidelijk wat ze doen. Zijn werk is meer dan figuratief: het vertegenwoordigt een bijzondere droomwereld, Norbert de Jong is autodidact.

Opening: vrijdag 25 juni, 17:00-19:00, door Sander Egas, directeur Wijkgerichte zorg, Mentrum GGz. Met optreden van zanggroep Eigenwijs.

De tentoonstelling duurt tot en met 4 juli 2010.
Zaterdag en zondag, 13:00-17:00 en op afspraak

De Beatzers have been recording in the Ei-Studio this week on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Beatzers won the Winston Popprijs last year.

I’m very happy to be working with the Ei-Complex in Amsterdam.

The Ei-Complex is a new kind of multidisciplinary production facility, research lab and and community centre. In the last year it has been in a build and testing phase, now it is about to become full operational in the new year.

The Ei-Complex has a initial focus on music and music related workshops, educational workshops, however this has already expanded to include such diverse events as fashion photography, CD launch parties, album recordings, art exhibits, theatrical performances, concert recordings, music video production, DVD production, media rich web sites, iPhone application development to name a few things.

I have set up a new research and development operation in the Ei-Complex called the Live Amsterdam Lab. The lab is developing multimedia content with local artists and creating tools and applications to help create, market and distribute that content.
